I am a special education preschool teacher at Glankler in the Fremont Unified School District. The students I teach are ages three to five years old with autism. My classroom is brand new, so I am working hard to purchase items for my students in hopes that they will at least have the basics to learn in a comfortable environment. My focus is to teach them social skills and how to appropriately interact in different environments. Each student is learning how to develop appropriate play skills and life skills. Many of my students love to read books together, but we do not have the appropriate materials for a library center. I am hoping to be able to make the library center more comfortable for them so they can enjoy reading! I would like to buy materials which will help me teach my students to learn basic pre-academic skills and work on teaching them how to focus and develop play skills and social skills.
