My Kindergarten students would benefit greatly from having the availability of different resources in the classroom to help them achieve academic success. We are hoping to receive six iPad mini tablets that we would add to our literacy centers and utilize on a daily basis. The students would be able to utilize different resources on the tablets to help develop and reinforce specific math and reading skills. Because of the lack of technology in the classroom and at home, students have not been able to take advantage of the online reading program I have organized. The students are excited about reading and given the right resources, their love for learning will continue to grow. Having the tablets in the classroom would give students the chance to access a library of leveled books that are specific to student's abilities and that are not available in the classroom. With the daily use and exposure of different literacy instruction and activities on the tablets, students would have the chance to become the readers they so eagerly want to be, despite any setbacks they have endured. Please support this wonderful group of students early in their lives so that they can become successful in their futures.
