I work to create a learning community that allows students to feel safe, empowered and excited to learn. I want all my students to realize their true potential, so my classroom is always very organized and inviting. The students I teach come from a variety of backgrounds. They all come with a story from their outside school life and range of academic abilities. My student population does not always have the opportunity to receive these 'extras,' even though the teachers in my school do as much as possible for them. The projects I begin through Donors Choose aim to support my learners in many ways, providing them with materials to promote their learning and let them know they are valued.
