My students need books to read at home to develop their reading skills and increase their enjoyment of reading. Your donation will allow all students at our school to be given a bag of books at our annual Family Literacy Night in April. We have an urgent need to get more books into the homes of our students so they have the opportunity to grow as proficient readers. Our Family Literacy Night encourages parent involvement in our school community and provides demonstrations of ways families can provide literacy support to their child at home. Research demonstrates that family participation is vital to the academic success of their child and books are crucial to supporting the growth of our students' reading development.
