As a teacher I believe it is imperative to allow my students time to continue to develop their creativity and imagination. One way I do this is giving students time to make choices in some non-structured activities. The majority of my students are drawn to the activities where they are able to build and manipulate the materials that they are using into something unique and creative. The problem is that in my classroom there is a lack of materials that allow my students to build and create.
These products would allow my students to have different and engaging choices that would foster their growth in engineering and inventive skills.
I have selected products such as puzzles, letter stamps, shape/color bingo. My students will have time during the day to use these different products. The tennis balls will help the students move their chair with ease. I am looking to build a library in our room which displays the books, not just in piled in a bin. With the educational games and materials, these students will be able to express their creativity and work on problem solving skills as they are working on building what they have imagined. We want our children to be creative and innovative problem solvers and giving them time to use these supplies will help them to grow in those skills.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart….all donations make a difference and we really appreciate it!
