I would love to have Scholastic News Magazine for my 4th grade class. I want my students to know that there is a world outside of their little community. This magazine also connects current events to the fourth grade curriculum while helping students practice their reading skills. This magazine will enhance our learning experience by giving us an interesting resource to get students excited about learning. I want to foster my students' love of learning. I will be using the magazines weekly to encourage the students to discuss and debate the articles and to enjoy reading about the many interesting places, events and people in their world. These magazines will also help with reading fluency and comprehension skills which we are always trying to improve!
