A color printer will allow me to create visually pleasing Anchor Charts that will display the current strategies or skills I have taught for both Reading and Writing. While paper charts may seem to be a learning tool of the past, Kindergarteners rely on the visual to activate their previous learning and to refer to what has just been taught. Colorful symbols, icons, or real photos will enhance the print-rich environment that we co-create. The Words Their Way text will help support my current Phonics curriculum. I would like to use the Word Work activities in this book to support my students' foundational skills.
