Creating a handcrafted stepping stone will help the students use science up close and personal, and students who love art have the opportunity to express themselves through their creativity. It is important to educate the whole child. Discussions on empathy, giving, and pride will be woven into this project. When families have little income, buying supplies for hand made gifts is not an option. Students will feel a sense of pride when creating something to give to someone they love. While teachers focus on educational development, we have the chance to teach children to think of others, feel pride in completing a project, and boost their self-esteem.

About my class
