I have found that document cameras are an amazing way to broadcast skills to all learners because they can follow the activity or skill being taught in a much more tangible way. I will use the biographies in tandem with the camera to teach new skills and be working at the same time as the students. A document camera helps turn the classroom into a fully inclusive setting with entry points to reach all learners. Research tells us that read alouds, such as from a biography, should be done everyday, and the document camera can turn it into a shared reading so that the students are fully engaged and involved in their learning.
