As part of the school's elective program designed to enable character and reinforce western heritage, the students are trained and evaluated on a specified, participatory rubric. Ultimately, programs like character, citizenship, and quality swordsmanship instruction underwrites a student's mistakes, grows resiliency, and enables the student to accept academic, mindful, and physical burdens with confidence. The following is the conceptual training rubric: Application of citizenship and character are in accordance with James Irwin guidelines of success (Honesty, Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Responsibility). Understanding of course material is directly relatable to western heritage, or what a student can know (Athens), what a student can do (Rome), and what a student can be (Jerusalem).
