This is my first year teaching elementary health, and I am loving it. I teach 1st - 5th graders, and see every class once a week, just like the P.E., music, and library specialists. I teach 600 kids that in health class, we learn about YOU. For elementary students, there is nothing more interesting than one's very own self! It's a great way to get them interested in science and STEM careers. I want health class to be the highlight of every kid's week, but it's hard to keep it engaging if I only have paper and pencil work for them to do week after week.
