My project is to build a better sense of community and belonging in my classroom. This is something my students desperately need in their lives. Many of my students have a hard time connecting with others. I will use this A to Z Animals classroom rug to have the students come together as a class and share in the morning. I want to give them a space to feel safe and accepted. I will also use the rug for whole group instruction. This will keep my students engaged in a meaningful lesson. It will also allow me to face all of my students at one time.
