Art has been a new addition to the STEM acronym, now known as STEAM. This has been such a huge growth for the field of arts because it truly shows how it can be incorporated across the curriculum. As part of our fall STEM project, my students will be combining their math and engineering skills, along with their artistic abilities to create original clay containers with the clay. Once students have completed their projects, we will use the iPad to showcase their work during parent conferences. I know my students will be thrilled to have this hands-on art experience, at the same time, utilizing skills that they have acquired in other classes.
