My students work so well in partners. They work even better when they can sit wherever they would like. Stools, balance balls and rocking chairs would help them with becoming focused on reading which is a struggle in our community. Their love for reading has increased because I allow them sit on the floor. I only have a couple of pillows and 2 comfy chairs, which they have to share. They work well in partners when I have them sit where ever, and are more engaged with their tasks. I want their classroom experience to be comfortable, safe, fun, and memorable. They may not have this type of environment at home, so I would like to provide them with that, so they can reach their full potential.
