Students will spend one week at the Balule Reservation studying African ecosystems. Our focus will be on the sustainable conservation of elephant populations. The second week will take students to Sodwana Bay where they will dive in the Indian Ocean. We will collect and analyze data on marine health while we dive with dolphins, whale sharks, and other amazing megafauna. Students will have an opportunity to conduct real-life scientific field work, both on the reserve and at the marine site. The experiences they gain will be brought back to share with their classmates and community. This trip opens many future opportunities for students at college and beyond.

About my class
