My eager students will use the tablets to continue learning in centers in the classroom this year in my 3rd grade class, just as they did last year in 2nd grade that had grant funded technology. We have no tablets because my class was just added a week before school started and the classroom was literally bare. The tablets will aide my students with English Language Arts remediation, projects, and research task, which in turn will increase my students interest and thirst for learning in fun ways. My awesome students need to stay technology based learners for a technology based world. I know they can with the help of kind hearts. Also they need a basic tool such as two electric pencil sharpeners which is an essential tool that we use every day, all day long. I have to bother other teachers and office staff to sharpen pencils. Our school does not provide this essential tool that can sharpen the students pencils quickly, properly and efficiently.
