My Kindergarten students have begun the reading process this year by retelling familiar storybooks, reading pictures, and basic sight words. My students know that they are READERS! Having a leveled classroom library, where students can easily find their "Just Right" book, is imperative to their interest in and love of reading. With your donation, students will have access to multiple copies of books that are engaging, as well as at their developmental level in order to foster their development. You will be providing our classroom with technological equipment to assist with utilizing the leveled texts during whole group instruction and word work materials to further develop their knowledge of print concepts and sight words. Contributing to my classroom library will give my students the opportunity to become lifelong readers! Reading is one of the most important skills a child can have. You can help these nineteen children by giving them meaningful reading practice. Your gift will provide these deserving students with individualized instruction, which will help them become awesome readers!
