The second graders I am so grateful to teach, and have in my classroom come from all different types of families, backgrounds, and beliefs. Many of the students come from low -income families ( 30% receive free or reduced lunch) but they are all great friends. My second graders are vibrant students full of energy and the love of learning. The school they attend includes grades K-6 and is in a rural South Dakota community. It has a very comfortable and close knit learning environment with many opportunities for them to succeed, and be productive while still being able to act like kids. I am always looking for new and engaging ways to teach my students. I want every student to be successful.
