My students need to be able to hold a book in their hands and grow their desire to become life-long readers. Having new books that children can read both in school and at home will allow them to apply learned reading skills and strategies. Children love to find a comfortable, quiet place in our room and sit down with a book that they are interested in. Many students have trouble finding a book that draws them in. The books I have selected will help motivate boys, girls, and English language learners to read. A mix of fiction, nonfiction, and books on tape are sure to meet the needs of all of my students. Your generous donation to our project will improve our classroom by building stronger readers and writers!
