Our PreK students have very few, if any, books at home. This author is a favorite of young children and having these books in our classroom to read and available to checkout and share at home with families is vital to teaching them the love of reading. My students go to the Piggie and Elephant books that I currently have in class on a daily basis. Many are falling apart from being so well loved. This project will give us several new titles and a second copy of their favorites so every child has the opportunity to read these books.
