The classroom library is an important part of how my students get reading in every day. They don't get to visit the school library often so having books available to them every day is integral. It is also important to offer the types of books that the students want to read. For my students that is graphic novels. When students have a variety of genres to choose from, they are more likely to read. My class has also been asking to read a book together as a class, we voted and they chose two books: "The Giver" and "Serafina and the Black Cloak." In order to have enough copies for every student, I need the help of generous donors! These students are smart and fun, but they are still little kids who need to get their energy out. Sitting at a desk and listening to a lesson is hard sometimes. I am also hoping to get some resources such as the "Sit n Gym" for some of them to use while sitting. I appreciate the support so much and so do my awesome students!
