Being able to teach art within our core subjects is a very rewarding opportunity, and gets students excited about learning. These materials will give us the opportunity to incorporate more meaningful art lessons in collaboration with our regular curriculum! We do a lot of painting and drawing throughout the year and the paint, paintbrushes and construction paper will help the students create more meaningful projects as they take ownership of what they are learning. The construction paper and card stock will be used for more than just art. They will be incorporated into activities for reading/literacy, and math centers which will be able to be used by students over and over again. The materials donated will also give students an outlet to be able to express themselves and their learning in a different way. I love being able to encourage creativity and with these materials that goal will most definitely be accomplished! Thank you for your consideration in helping out the students in my class!
