This project will be used to inspire and motivate my students to reach their fullest potential. One way to motivate students is to give them choices. In my room, my students have several options for seating, but none of them allow them to use Chromebooks effectively and safely. When using Chromebooks, students are glued to their seats. These laptop desks will transform my classroom and give students more freedom and choice. Students will have the ability to choose where they want to sit in the room, and still be able to work on the Chromebooks productively. We are giving students the freedom of choice to type their writing piece comfortably in their favorite area of the classroom or allowing them to practice math concepts while sitting on the carpet. This type of freedom within the four walls of a classroom will lead to students being more motivated and productive. There is a lot in my students' lives that they do not have control over. Giving them what seems like a little piece of freedom can really have a long-lasting, positive effect.
