Storyworks' magazine has content and skill activities that will help me reinforce reading and language arts concepts including main ideas, supporting details, cause/effect, paragraph writing, grammar, and many more. The magazine promises a wide range of genres includes informational and narrative nonfiction, short fiction, poetry, debates, and read-aloud plays based on myths, classic literature, and history. Stories connect to social studies and sciences also to integrate reading into all content areas. After the skills activities in the classroom, the magazine will be sent home providing reading material for the student and siblings. This helps provide low income families a source of informational text and literature to continue reading at home.
