The students immediately ran to the liquid floor tiles and flexible floor seats. They could not wait to test them out, and they've already become our favorites during reader's theater and whole-group discussions. The liquid tiles have also surprised me with how calming they are for students who get dysregulated. They love watching the colors move, and it has become a great tool for helping them reset. The emotions plushies have been helpful for this too, giving students a simple and safe way to share how they're feeling. The new binder shelf has made a huge difference for me. My student data is finally organized and right where I need it, which helps me support kids more efficiently.\r\n\r\nThe hands-on literacy tools have also made a big impact. My students love anything they can touch, move, or build with, so the ABC magnet tiles, puzzles, Elkonin magnetic boards, and phonemic awareness games have been perfect. The Elkonin boxes, especially, have helped us map trick words and build confidence with those irregular patterns that can feel so tricky. These materials have strengthened fine motor skills, letter-sound knowledge, and overall engagement. The guided reading strips and finger-focus tools have also been so helpful for my students with dyslexia. They give them the structure they need to stay focused and follow the text without feeling overwhelmed.\r\n\r\nThe new books have added engagement and cultural relevance to our classroom library. Students are already choosing them during independent reading. Our next steps include rotating the hands-on materials into small-group stations, using flexible seating more intentionally during partner reading, and continuing to build our regulation area with the tiles and plushies. We opened each gift when the orders arrived. The excitement on their faces was priceless. We use many of the materials weekly. For example, the grooved writing booklets are amazing for the kiddos who struggle with making their letters correct. The 8 Book Set: A Little SPOT of Learning books have been an incredible asset to our room. We are on book 6 of the 8 and the first five were dedicated towards the students learning how to be kind, how to handle big feelings when they get frustrated, how to make friends and so many more Kindergarten life lessons we need to teach and model for them. \r\n\r\nThe fidget tools are helpful for when a student needs to calm down, use them when they are listening to the teacher at our whole group rug area, and they are especially useful for when they are on their Ipads for monthly progress monitoring or at times for some supported work on the Ipads that is connected to our lessons of the week. They'll fidget with these tools instead of the wire cord to their headsets. Thank you : ) I use the mini foam magnetic letters to screen kids during 'check ins' and they like using these during my teacher small group instruction. \r\n\r\nThe magnetic letter tiles, the Snap Together Letter block cubes, and the magnetic spinners are a hit to help them learn their letters and sounds. It makes learning hands on and much more fun! It is also great to see them use the materials for imaginary play. Some have told me, \"Look I made '_' and I see the letter '_' here.\" These small steps are truly hooking them into the world of the reading and they don't even realize it-yet. \r\n\r\nThey also love the Animal Farm counters and often use them during their Free Choice time during Self-Selection. The Ice Cream Scoop Math counting to ten was a blast to use and the students realized how much their fine motor skills were also being strengthened by having to squeeze the scooper just so to get the ice cream balls onto the Sundae tray. We are even stretching this gift to count to twenty in the math lessons soon to come. \r\n\r\nLast but not least, the Letter Crayons to help them build consonant-vowel-consonant words are simply fabulous. As a first-year teacher, the cost of setting up a classroom to meet all my students' needs felt overwhelming, and your contribution made an immediate and priceless impact. I initially purchased a few flexible seating options, like a wobble stool, to help my students who benefit from movement. However, I quickly realized that many more students needed this support than I could afford to provide. I had to create a rotation schedule for the one stool, which was not ideal, especially for students who needed it daily. Thanks to your donation, I was able to provide enough wobble stools for the class, along with other important materials like chair bands, learning manipulatives, and whisper phones for reading practice. \r\n\r\nThe students' reactions were unforgettable. I kept the arrival of the new supplies a surprise and stacked the boxes at the front of the classroom. When I opened the first box and revealed what was inside, the students screamed with excitement! I explained that now we had enough stools for everyone who needed one, and the energy in the room was pure joy. Since then, the wobble stools have made an incredible difference, there is noticeably less fidgeting and much greater focus during lessons. The chair bands provide another outlet for movement, the manipulatives have made learning more hands-on and engaging, and the whisper phones have helped students gain confidence in their reading skills. Students now even ask to use the manipulatives when they get the opportunity to \"teach\" the class, which shows how much they value and enjoy these tools. \r\n\r\nThis project has truly transformed our classroom environment. I am seeing better engagement, deeper understanding, and greater comfort from every student, which is so important in a small group setting at the Title 1 school. Your kindness not only eased the challenges of my first year teaching but also allowed me to better meet the diverse needs of my students. I am forever grateful for your support and look forward to using these resources for many years to come.
