Each student will have a composition book to write in daily. While our students have handwriting books to practice their letters, they do not have individual journals to record their writing growth. Currently they are writing on loose paper that is put into folders; however, it is difficult for all of their writing to fit neatly into these folders. This journal gives them the chance to reflect on their journaling throughout the year to see personal and academic growth. Our students love to have their voice heard through their writing, as well as getting the chance to share their writing with peers, teachers, and family. These journals will give them the chance to become young authors.
