Within my classroom, my students engage in a variety of projects. Often times my students are unable to print their reports or assignments for their projects due to the lack of supplies/technology at home. I would like to allow the printer to be a viable source for my students to use in order to print and showcase the hard work that they put into their projects. It hurts sometimes when my students create a Power Point or brochure for projects and I tell them that we are unable to print it due to our limited access to a working printer. In addition to using the printer to showcase student work, the printer would be put to use by printing out various books on levels that best suit my students. In my fourth grade classroom, I have readers on a wide spectrum ranging from pre-primer to fifth grade. In an effort to meet my students where they are, it's essential to provide books that not only interest them, but are also on their reading level.
