Although we are lucky enough to have access to a wonderful computer lab at our school, we would like to provide our students with the opportunity to access additional resources within our first grade classroom. Chromebooks will allow the students to work on basic keyboarding skills, enrich and reinforce skills at the students own personal level, and allow students to fine-tune their technology skills. The 45 minutes a week that we get of computer lab access does not allow sufficient time for students to develop the skills. Having the Chromebooks in our classroom will provide flexibility and greater opportunities for success!
