One of the most difficult areas of learning for my students is mathematics. Therefore, math manipulatives are imperative as they offer students that "hands-on" learning approach. One of the best ways my students learn using these manipulatives in a whole group setting is when I model instruction with them. However, we do not have a rug with squares on it for the students to each have their own special spot for their bodies and manipulatives. Thus, the students often move all around and the manipulatives get mixed up making learning difficult. Furthermore, we do not have storage for our math manipulatives for our math center. Therefore, when the students are in math center they do not have access to all of our math manipulatives at once. I would love for the students to get to enjoy math center while being able to access all of our materials in a neat and effective way.
