The students need a calm, comfortable and cozy environment in the library that provides an atmosphere of excitement and relaxation that promotes the joy of reading. Some of the library furniture is a mixture of various types and sizes. I would like to create spaces in the library that provides a welcoming environment for the students during their visit. They need a rug, beanbags, lamp and a variety of posters relating to the type of literature they are reading. At this time, the library is plain and dull, colorful posters would brighten up the library and provide a sense of wonderment and excitement. These posters would encourage the students to read more and develop a creative mind. The choice of sitting on the beanbags or the rug would make the kids feel at home, relaxed in the Media Center, and gives them a feeling of ownership. A donation toward our project creates a space for learning, calming force, and a love and enjoyment for reading.
