Letting my students choose where they work has been very conducive to their learning. I currently have 3 exercise balls that are used to allow students to sit at tables and still move. While doing centers my students love being able to move to the floor, to the tables or wherever they choose. This gives them the opportunity to work independently or with a group. They are comfortable and able to focus more on what we are doing rather then trying to sit in outdated, uncomfortable chairs. It also gives them the chance to take charge in their own learning. The wobble chairs will give the students the opportunity to focus while still being able to move (as we know the little ones need this!). The comfy floor seating will allow students to comfortably sit on the floor in the classroom, which might be something they prefer rather than a desk. This flex seating will allow better focus and learning for my students.
