In the age of technology and the shift away from the traditional textbooks, teachers continuously need to be ahead of the curve when it comes to presenting information to their students. The book, "Everything You Need to Ace World History in One Big Fat Notebook" is built on a simple and irresistible idea- borrowing the notes from the smartest kid in class. Inside the textbook my students will find Social Studies key concepts, easily digested and summarized: Critical ideas highlighted in marker colors, definitions explained, doodles that illuminate tricky concepts, mnemonics for a memorable shortcut, and quizzes to recap it all. This interactive textbook meets Common Core State Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and state history standards, and are vetted by National and State Teacher of the Year Award–winning teachers. My students will use this as their traditional textbook that most adults remember from "back in the day". This book holds the power to alter the impressionable minds of over 30 7th grade students, who outside the classroom rarely ever experience anything other than their own culture. "Everything You Need to Ace World History in One Big Fat Notebook" will be used daily to explain topics ranging from the first humans in 3500 BCE to the world we know today.
