These materials will help our kindergarten class learn to be good students. They will learn to share among small groups, to collaborate verbally to reinforce learning standards and critical thinking skills, and to develop their creative selves to enhance all life experiences and individual learning modalities. The Magna tiles and blocks will allow students to sort by color and size, and to pattern during math time. The rhythm sticks will help students build motor skills and we will use these during spelling of sight words and number sequencing. The paint drying rack will allow us to have a place to dry our weekly art activity. The magnetic letters will be used during guided reading groups to help reinforce blending strategies and reading skills. Our class does not have enrichment materials. Therefore, we are asking for donations to help make the students first school experience memorable.
