My students are in dire need of a listening station for use during our reading practice stations. I have struggling readers that get frustrated and are just learning to read. I also have students that excel in reading, but read words too fast to comprehend. Through the use of a listening station, my students will be able to hear perfect readers that present fluent reading at an understandable and comprehensible rate. I am requesting books and CDs to give my students the opportunity of hearing great readers. I am also requesting a cassette/CD player so that students will be able to utilize the books and CDs. My students would benefit greatly from this donation and it would be used daily to enhance the learning of many children!
