My students are in grades KG - 8th grade and are a part of the English for Speakers of Other Languages program. My students and families are hard workers and make tremendous progress every day toward becoming proficient in their listening, speaking, reading, and writing of the English Language. We enjoy learning and laughing together as we journey through their language learning adventure. In turn they get to teach us about their culture and home language! The best quote a student once told me is, "Just because I speak [my language], doesn't mean I know everything in [that language]." This quote really describes my students every day experience so well. They are all learning a new language and often while still having a very limited knowledge of their home language. This makes my students super stars in my eyes!
