The incorporation of Chromebooks for our third grade consisting of 67 students this year will assist students in the classroom and in their lives by enabling them to use modern technology in cross-curriculum activities. The world has changed; people need to be savvy at "finding" the information at a quicker-paced manner than ever before. Real-world careers utilize technology to access information in "real-time." Students who are able to use Chromebooks on a regular basis will be able to better scaffold their learning, increase yearly statewide reading and math scores through regular practice, and become more confident in reaching individual potential. Effective use of Chromebooks will extend to students' ability to work independently as well by allowing them the skills needed in today's high-tech world.
