With a STEM classroom it will give our students exposure to science, math and much more with hands on activities. A STEM classroom is much needed in our urban schools. Funds are being cut and the cost of living for teachers is not helping. I am not able to spend as much as I would like for my students. These are products I would normally buy for my classroom, but I am no longer able to do so. The student will observe, investigate, describe and discuss properties and characteristics of common objects using the materials I have ask for. The student will explore with position and motion of objects. They will learn to use simple measuring devices to learn about objects. They will discuss sources of energy including light, heat and electricity. Observe characteristics of organisms. Learn the life cycle of organisms. Discuss the relationship of organisms to their environment. Investigate earth materials and their properties and uses. Even learn about objects in the sky. Last, the students will demonstrate the importance of caring for our environment and our planet. These materials I am asking for will be used to learn the above objectives.
