I would like to offer my students non-traditional seating like bean bag chairs, wobble stools, and exercise ball seats. Kids need to be able to move and be active to learn. If I HAVE to sit, I like a comfortable seat, so why shouldn't my students? Having a few seating options to offer as incentives will allow me to keep the students engaged. When a student can be active, by changing their seat, or not sitting at all, it really makes a difference in their ability to focus. My current classroom chairs were here when I was a student over 30 years ago. While sturdy and worth the money paid for them, they just don't suit today's learner. I would like to update all of my seating, but I don't want to do it hastily because they are so pricey. By getting a few of each kind of chair listed: Big Joe Bean Bag chair, Runtz Ball Chair, and Active Stool, It will also allow me to see which kinds of seating students prefer. It's nice to know what the students prefer and more importantly, it will allow me to see what can withstand frequent use by a classroom full of excited children. We thank you for your support!
