With a variety of learning styles, and personalities, my students will benefit from these learning tools, by becoming independent learners. During small group instructions, my students will use these tools to learn the alphabet, improve their phonemic awareness, and reading comprehension. The dough mats will help my tactile learners, learn the alphabet, helping them access the content by using their hands and dough as learning tools. The phonemic awareness center will help my struggling students identify the different parts of words, all while interacting with other students in small groups. Finally, my advanced learners will benefit from the reading comprehension center, by answer comprehension questions from task cards. It will teach them to be accountable for their own learning. They will not only learn, but will also have fun. These instructional tools will definitely improve their ability to communicate with each other, and will allow them to access the common core curriculum.
