Both KEVA planks and Magna-Tiles are hands-on activities that are great for STEM challenges and independent thinking. They also work wonderfully in a group setting, encouraging cooperation and team building. These resources spark creativity in the minds of all students and allow them to have hands-on experiences to think and work like architects and engineers. Students of all ages can create the models shown in the flyers, such as catapults or bridges, or create their own structures and contraptions. It is important for our gifted learners to understand the science of engineering and design and to see how that applies to their creations. These activities allow for fun exploration and encourage imagination. While KEVA planks and Magna-Tiles seem quite simple, we must remember, "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."-Leonardo DaVinci
