These fourth grade students attend a public school in New York City. They are all high needs students, meaning they all come from low income families or foster families. These students fortunately receive free breakfast and lunch each day. Unfortunately, their families struggle to pay for everyday classroom supplies, such as books, folders, and notebooks. Despite their lack of money, these students are the sweetest, most caring group of children I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
