I work in an environment that is a learning center created to have an atmosphere to best support the multi-leveled abilities that demonstrate themselves in a school. The students that attend the learning center have difficulty with the task of sitting in a desk. They are constantly in motion. I believe providing chairs that allow the opportunity to "wiggle" enhances their ability to attend to tasks and also, enhances the environment. With the variance in the level of both cognitive and physical abilities in this classroom, the accommodation of wiggle seats offers these students a fair learning environment that best meets their needs.
