Our school has an insufficient amount of technology which makes it difficult for our students to completely engage in the curriculum. In the afternoon , the teacher has to select which students will be given the opportunity to utilize various math programs in order to strengthen their math skills. With the iPads, our students will be able to utilize and manipulate math programs i.e.(ST Math, I-Ready, IXL Math, and Zearn) that build their application skills and better prepare them for the state standardized assessment given at the end of the school year. The preliminary data collected from these programs enables me to plan more efficiently for the needs of my students. The iPads will make for a more equitable learning environment, promote efficiency, and a higher success rate for all students. Additionally, students will be greatly appreciative of any additional technology that is brought into their classroom environment.
