Students learn through play, and the open learning centers I want to create will facilitate their natural inquisitiveness and curiosity. Careful planning of diverse learning centers with open-ended activities and hands-on materials will create an environment in which all students thrive. Students at these centers will investigate, explore, examine, and experiment with the world around them. Imagine a room full of student conversations about math, literacy, and science.....all happening while these little ones are engaged in play. They will learn, grow, and internalize through interactive experiences with each other, adults, and real materials. I have all the necessary materials, but need the organizational structure these shelves will provide.
