The book Wonder teaches students about the importance of kindness and acceptance. While reading this book we will dive in to the importance of our actions how they affect others. I will use this book to teach theme, point of view, characterization and figurative language. Wonder will be an essential tool for social emotional learning. I want my students to be kind humans, show empathy and accept each other with all of their differences. This book will allow my students to grow as readers. "Courage. Kindness. Friendship. Character. These are the qualities that define us as human beings, and propel us, on occasion, to greatness."

About my class
