After seeing the excitement that our Painted Lady Butterfly station brought to our classroom, I can't wait to see how my students react to watching chicks hatch. Being an urban district, this is not an experience that my students have ever experienced. One of our main topics this fall has been life cycles. Using an incubator and seeing the chicks hatch would reinforce their new knowledge. This experience would provide knowledge as well as lasting memories.
New additions to our classroom include: two large aquariums, a mouse house, a Russian tortoise home, and a toad terrarium! The students have responded to these habitats so positively that it makes me want to show them more! With these habitats comes the need for sanitizing wipes, a replacement light for our goggle sanitizing station, and disposable gloves. A new aquarium heater, cleaner, and test strips would keep these habitats flourishing and greatly help offset their expense.
With your generous donation, I can keep these educational and exciting additions to our classroom thriving.
