I have been teaching for three years now and I can't imagine doing anything else. I started as a second grade teacher, but was quickly moved to Transitional Kindergarten. I taught TK for two years and loved it. I recently moved and now teach a first/second combo. Never knew how challenging, yet rewarding it would be, but I have grown to love it just as much as I did TK. I use the blended learning teaching model; My students are able to learn through many different modalities and sources which aid in their daily successes! What does this look like? My students rotate through several different learning centers: small group instruction (with me), independent practice, collaborative small group (students working together with an instructional coach to monitor progress/assist students), computers, library, and more. I frequently change these learning centers to meet the needs of each of my students.
