Currently my classroom has a very small rug that was gifted to me by a friend. It isn't a classroom rug. The corners have begun to turn upward. My students trip over it constantly. It's small enough that we tend to sit around it instead of on it. We start our day every morning with a greeting circle and it is challenging to find room for everyone! With a classroom rug where everyone fits, each student will have their own space. Sometimes we need space for our bodies where they aren't touching someone else. This flexible space learning rug will easily help students identify a spot on the rug by color and row. The classroom rug will provide a space for everyone when we gather for all our different learning opportunities, whether whole group, small group, partners, or just a cozy spot to read. Each student will have a space where they fit and belong!
