The items requested will be put to great use in this third grade classroom. All items will be used during small group sessions to maximize their time away from the teacher. The students are learning to become responsible for their own learning, as well as accountable for their actions and education. Small group allows for students to collaborate with others and review skills/concepts. It is during small group that students will receive the most attention and time to productively struggle to obtain new skills/concepts being taught both with and without teacher assistance. The small group activity math and comprehension card kits will allow for students to review and reinforce their mastered skills amongst each other without teacher support. These are skills that were already mastered which will need little to no teacher assistance. The comfy pillows and seats will allow for students to have multiple choices as to where they would like to sit. Also, these options will decrease behaviors which will result in more instructional time.
