I was so excited to teach art to my students this year. My students are very creative and full of inspirational ideas. We need your help in providing much needed supplies to realize their visions. I have requested paint, paint brushes, sketch pads, and, sponges for a Picasso inspired mask project. Students will first sketch their ideas onto their sketch pads, before painting and putting together reclaimed cardboard to form "Picasso" masks. Students will display their work for the school to see as well as teach our fifth grade partners how they can create their own masks. In our classroom, students will become artists who are free to express their ideas. The addition of art in our class will expose students to mediums and art movements they would not have encountered otherwise. Please help support art in the classroom.
